Minutes November 5, 2008

Call to order by President Tom Fisher at 7:30

JFB Report: NONE

Chuck Hann stated steer weigh in will be January 3rd, 2009 with a blizzard date of January 10th, 2009

Secretaries Report : Provided by Walters; Motion by Long to accept; Stahl second; Motion passed

Treasurers Report: Given by Roseberry; Motion to accept by Richmond; second by Long; Motion passed; Long moved to pay outstanding bills; Richmond second; Motion passed

Walters moved and Long second motion for the board to sign and die. Motion passed. With Turvy assuming the responsibilities of the chair.

Members Turvy, Walters, Roseberry, Hammond, and Yantes are sworn in by Leslie Long

Officer Elections: President Tom Fisher; Vice President Dave Gallimore; Secretary Les Walters; Treasurer Brenda Roseberry; Dennis Long appointed to the Executive Committee as the member at large

Walters moved and Long second to keep the Treasurer and Secretary salaries the same $4000.00 each; motion passed

By order of the President Tom Fisher all committees will stay the same for next year

Old Business: NONE

New Business: Walters moved to go into executive session to discuss Stahl's contract and to discuss the position of Junior Fair Coordinate; Turvy second at 7:50; Motion passed. Gallimore moved; Long second to return to regular session at 8:56; Motion passed.

Long moved and Frenz second a motion to eliminate the position of Junior Fair Coordinator for cost saving measures. After a role call vote the Motion passed 12-2

Walters moved and Roby second a motion to continue membership in the OFMA; Motion passed

2009 fair dates were set July 11-18

Roseberry will be the OFMA delegate, Rife alternate

Fisher nominated as the outstanding fair supporter
