Release Times for Fair Exhibits
Release time for Junior Fair Exhibits and animals not
marketed by the Junior Fair Sales Committee will be on Sunday following the
Madison County Fair, starting at 9:00 AM and must be completed by 2:00 PM on
Sunday.
Any request for early release must be submitted to the
Senior Fair Board no later than Monday of fair week by 5:00 PM. All requests
must be in writing and include a copy of a show bill and entry form for any
conflicting show. Only Senior Fair Board members can grant an early release. Any
emergency request will be handled on a case by case basis.
All commercial exhibits are allowed to leave after the
closing of the Madison County Fair at 11:00 PM Saturday, with the exception of
all commercial exhibits that are located in the Commercial Buildings. These
exhibits will be allowed to leave at 9:00 AM Sunday.
Any commercial exhibit that leaves before the release
times stated above will have their contract cancelled, lose any deposit money,
and will not be asked to return.
Any early release for a commercial exhibit must be
stated in their written contract and may include monetary penalty.
All contracts (including ice) must be paid by the last
Saturday of the Fair by 9:00 PM.

Grievance / Protest Procedures for Fair Week:
- Committee to be made up of the President of the Fair Board and three (3)
Senior Fair Board members.
- All grievances are to be made in writing.
- Grievance must be filed no later than 36 hours before any given Junior
Fair Show.
- The Grievance/Protest Committee, upon receipt of the written grievance,
will investigate using the Junior Fair Coordinator, Junior Fair Coordinator
Assistant, Extension Agents, 4-H Advisors, Junior Fair Livestock Sales
Committee Members, FFA Advisors, and FCCLA Advisors to investigate the
incident that caused the written grievance.
- Finding results will be made within 24 hours of receipt of grievance.
- Written explanation will be given to all person(s) involved.
- Both parties can file a written protest. Procedures are written below.
A written protest will be accepted using the standard protest form along with
a $50.00 non-refundable fee. If either of the parties involved in the grievance
disagree with the results, the protest will be handled by the Executive Board of
the Madison County Agricultural Society. The results will be finalized within 12
hours.
